The fourth quarter of 2006 has been the second busiest quarter of the year and the highest fourth quarter ever. In Q4 2006, Euronext revenues increased by 5.9% compared to the same period in 2005, leading to an all-time record level of annual revenues of €1,102.2m, an increase of 14.6% compared to 2005 revenues.

NYSE Euronext, Inc., NYSE Group, Inc. and Euronext N.V. have announced that NYSE Euronext, Inc., through its indirect wholly owned subsidiary NYSE Euronext (Holding) N.V., will commence an exchange offer today, Thursday, February 15 for all of the outstanding shares of Euronext. The exchange offer will close on March 21, 2007 and the settlement and delivery of the offer, as well as the admission of the NYSE Euronext shares on Euronext Paris and on NYSE, is expected to take place on April 4, 2007.

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. today reported fourth quarter 2006 net income of $63.0 million, or $0.43 per diluted share, an increase of $45.9 million from $17.1 million, or $0.15 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of 2005, and an increase of $32.8 million from $30.2 million, or $0.22 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2006.

The London Stock Exchange made a very strong start to 2007 with record trading activity across its markets. The number of SETS trades increased 61 per cent on January 2006 to 8.7 million, the highest number of trades ever recorded on the electronic order book in a single month, while the value traded rose by 33 per cent to £156.5 billion. The average daily number of trades on SETS in January increased 54 per cent on last January to 397,215, and the average daily value traded rose by 27 per cent to £7.1 billion.
